Mushroom Identifier
Safety Notice: Mycora provides AI-assisted identification for educational purposes only. Never eat a wild mushroom based solely on an app identification. Always verify with an expert mycologist before consuming any wild fungi.
Open Mycora and tap the camera button on the Identify tab. Take a clear photo of the mushroom or select one from your photo library. The AI will analyze the image and provide identification results.
Mycora uses Google Gemini AI and provides a confidence percentage with each result. Higher confidence means a more reliable match. Always check the confidence score and review toxic look-alike warnings before making any decisions.
Edible (green) = Generally safe. Caution (yellow) = Verify before consuming. Toxic (red) = Do not eat. Deadly (dark red) = Extremely dangerous. Always cross-reference with expert sources.
Many edible mushrooms have dangerous look-alikes. Mycora shows similar toxic species alongside each identification so you can compare and stay safe.
All history is stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. You can clear your history anytime from the Settings screen.
An internet connection is required for mushroom identification, as photos are sent to the AI service for analysis. However, your saved identification history is available offline.
On any result screen, tap the share icon in the top right corner. You can share the mushroom name, edibility status, confidence score, and photo via any app on your device.
