Hamster Focus Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This policy explains how GgugguLab’s Hamster Focus for iPhone and Android handles information. The app does not require an account.
Progress stored on your device
Your seed balance, daily seed total, owned cage items, selected duration, onboarding and notification preferences, in-progress session record and saved interest in a future offer are stored locally. We do not operate an account or cloud-save service for this progress. Some interaction events described below are separately sent to analytics when collection is enabled.
Usage analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand app use and improve features. Events include starting, completing, cancelling or failing a session; opening the shop; buying an item with seeds; ad interactions on Android only; and viewing or expressing interest in a future Pro offer. Parameters may include session duration, seeds, cage item and seed price, offer version, displayed price and currency. An offer-interest event is not a purchase or an email subscription.
Analytics can also process an app-instance identifier, device and operating-system information, app version, usage events and approximate location derived from network information. We do not assign an account user ID or send user-provided names, email addresses or focus-session content as analytics parameters. On iPhone, the Firebase configuration disables IDFA collection. On both platforms, the app keeps advertising personalization signals disabled.
In the ad-free iPhone version, usage analytics is off by default. You can enable or disable Share usage analytics in the collection panel (book icon). App usage is not used for advertising or linked with other companies’ activity for ad targeting. Events generated while collection is disabled are not queued for later transmission. Turning this setting off stops future analytics collection; it does not delete previously sent records.
Advertising and consent
The iPhone version does not include Google AdMob or its User Messaging Platform, display ads, or offer ad-based seed doubling.
On Android, Google AdMob supplies home-screen banners and optional rewarded ads after completed sessions. Its SDK may process IP-derived approximate location, app- or device-related identifiers, ad views and interactions, and crash, performance or other diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads, prevent abuse and maintain its services. Non-personalized ads do not mean that no technical information is collected.
The Android app requests non-personalized ads and disables Google’s publisher first-party ID feature. Google’s User Messaging Platform checks applicable consent requirements. Ad requests wait until the SDK reports that ads may be requested. Android analytics collection is controlled separately using consent-mode information; events captured while collection is disabled are not queued for later transmission.
On Android, where provided, open the collection panel using the book icon and select Privacy choices to review or change consent. The timer and local progress remain available if consent information or ads cannot load. Notification permission is separate from advertising and analytics choices.
Optional notifications
Notifications are scheduled locally on your device with your permission. You can turn them off in your device settings. The app does not require a remote push-notification account.
Support messages
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond and investigate your request. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
Service providers and this website
Google processes information for Firebase Analytics and, on Android only, AdMob under its privacy practices. This support site is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may process connection information such as your IP address to serve and secure the site. These HTML pages do not embed advertising, analytics scripts or contact forms.
Provider information: Google Privacy Policy and GitHub Privacy Statement. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.
Retention and your choices
Local progress remains on your device until removed; deleting the app can remove it. Analytics, advertising and support records are retained according to the relevant service settings and purposes, rather than as a Hamster Focus cloud backup. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or object to or restrict processing. Contact us with a request; we may need information to verify it. We cannot reliably locate anonymous analytics records using only an email address because the app has no account linkage.
Children
Hamster Focus is a general-audience productivity app, not a service directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when app behavior or service providers change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For privacy questions or requests, email gguggulab@gmail.com.
